  • Unique Class - A Rare Case Study with MeJo Wiggin: About 8 years ago, a woman came to MeJos' studio because the local gyms would not take her due to her handicap. She had lost her left leg to bone cancer while she was in High School and now wears a prosthetic leg. Years later, due to the change in her gait, she started developing lower back pain and she decided to try Pilates. Come see this incredible one-time only workshop, in which MeJo will work hands-on as she teaches her student a full session on the apparatus and apply the method to her client's specific needs. After the session, MeJo will discuss her initial approach in working with her client, her challenges, victories, and be open for Q&A. It will certainly be an inspiration to all who attend and show how the Classical Pilates Method can be applied to rare and exceptional cases.

  • Pilates Decompression with Mari Winsor: This workshop will consist of tools to help you in your own practice and your clients, create more space in the body.  In our quest for perfect alignment, we often overlook an important health benefit of Pilates exercise. When we age the body seems to sink more towards the earth.  See how you can become keen on fighting gravity for yourself and your clients, allowing the bones and organs to be healthier. We will be using Reformers.

  • The Prime Male with Kevin Bowen: The Pilates method is great form of exercise for men and especially for men of a ‘certain age’. This workshop will explore how to work with men over 40 utilizing the Pilates method as a tool to not only increase their strength, flexibility and function but also develop a long term strategy for their health and well being.

  • Pilates for Men with Peter Fiasca: Utilizing all studio apparatus, this workshop will focus upon traditional exercises and principles that specifically benefit men. We will (1) address common muscle tightness in men and learn exercises that stretch-lengthen these areas; (2) identify certain muscle groups that men typically overwork and learn how to de-emphasize their overreliance; (3) develop and deeper understanding of how and where to correctly initiate movement for men; (4) challenge balance and stabilization while incorporating men’s frequently utilized muscle groups.

  • The Golden Chain with Peter Fiasca: Transitions ARE Exercises. This Universal Reformer workshop will demonstrate how to increase movement efficiency, mental focus and improve proper muscular action between exercises. A primary goal is to remove extraneous movement. By emphasizing the continuous nature of movement, participants will achieve intelligent optimum flow, as distinguishing from shallow speed, while minimizing non-Pilates related motion. This advanced Pilates workout will enhance your balance, control and coordination, thereby preparing your body and your mind for the rigorous demands of daily life.

  • Archival Pilates (USPA) with Brett Howard: The Joseph H. Pilates Archival Seminars include unseen film footage of the Master himself Teaching.  These seminars are based upon the original work of Joseph Pilates and contain hundreds of exercises, many which have not been seen, or explored by the Pilates community. The foundation and benefits of each exercise and apparatus is explored including integration into existing repertoire, necessary modifications, and adaptations. This will be an interactive experience and process where attendees will participate, and learn the exercise process from history of evolution, purpose, to demonstration, and precision via a highly refined approach to execution.

  • Pilates for Children with Brett Howard:
“First Educate the Child” a chapter in “Your Health” by Joseph Pilates.  Joseph Pilates strongly believed that children should learn the Pilates Method of Body Conditioning.  The seminar focuses on appropriate methods of teaching the Pilates Method to the child learner.  Learn cognitive, behavioral, physiological and anatomical considerations in teaching this population.  Learn how to generate creative lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate as well.  The seminar addresses how to implement a Pilates curriculum into a variety of settings.
